The mom's face is stern, Breanna's is unhappy, and the father's is happy. Maybe her father is just extremely bad at reading peoples' emotions and thinks he's just in a happy family. Maybe he's trying to mediate in the mother's and daughter's relationship, and he's just smiling for a photo.
There isn't THAT much substance in this story outside of the sex. It's so wholesome, everyone is so nice to each other, and all of the conflicts are resolved immediately. It would be a nice reality to live in but it isn't as good for a compelling story. I'm sure this same world could harbor stories that are beautiful on their own, but this comic doesn't have those stories until maybe these last few pages
