Creating 3D art and comics are two very different things and, however 3D art is much more complex and (can) take much longer. I don't know what you would expect, you don't know the state the artist is in. If they are doing well or terribly, if they would like to work on the comic or just take a brake. You don't know what being an artist is like, they are just like normal people.
