I don't understand how anyone can like Spider he's annoying he literally does nothing he exists to make people dislike the original characters (Jake Sully and Neytiri) and cause problems
I think we all can agree that Kiri is the way better character. Spider is (at least in The Way of Water) a means to an end character, to explain some context and have a cool standoff scene at the end.
But also I have to say that he isn't a badly written character. You may need to read some of the lore comics to understand tho.
