In a straight up fight, Steven sweeps. Other than his granny bag, Jack Horner is just a big human. Steven is incredibly strong and durable, can create hard-light shields, and when he stopped holding back during a fight and actually let himself become a Blood Knight (for 5 seconds anyway), he managed to kill what was considered the ultimate soldier amongst Gemkind.
Jack doesn't have a real gun, crossbow projectiles travel slow enough for Steven to block with his shield, the staff shoots concussive blasts at best, and Excalibur is still stuck in the stone, so it can't be used for stabbing Steven through his stupid rock.
Yes. Those aren't even real crossbow bolts, they're unicorn horns. Obviously not even close to being as aerodynamic as they could be, tons of wind resistance due to more surface area, no fletching, heavy, etc.
Uh, no? The point of a shield is literally to prevent damage, him dying from it makes no sense. Especially since his mom used that same shield to block a giant orbital laser.
