The beginning of the game doesn't take too long. Before hard mode, it takes me a maximum of 5 hours, probably because I'm so used to finishing the game in master mode (yes, I wrote that proudly :D).
Yeah man 5 hours sure. Im someone who takes games regardless of my hours slowly. So it will take me more than 5 hours to get out of pre hardmode.
