I speak for the people, for the reign...
...I speak today with disappointment and a sense of urgency. The abrupt removal of our ability to share images was not only unfair but frankly disrespectful to those who’ve contributed thoughtfully and creatively to this community.
What reason justifies such a decision? (nah fr tho, why?) Have we misused this platform, or has this simply become an exercise in authority for its own sake? Because from where we stand, it looks like control has taken priority over fairness.
The ability to share images isn’t a privilege to be granted on a whim; it’s an essential form of communication and expression. Taking that away without discussion undermines the trust and engagement that sustain this community.
We urge you to reverse this decision and restore the right you’ve taken from us. Ignoring this would be a disservice not just to us, but to the platform itself.
We expect change.

i do believe that this was a "we make massive deal over small thing for great justice" either that or that this bug bears some similarity to a (theoretical) action taken by a mod team to quell spamming images/inappropriate images posted by users. i am, of course, insane, so take this subculture reaction analysis with a picogram of salt.
TL:DR: it looked like something a mod team would do to fix spamming/unwanted posts, so they (the users) thought it was that instead of a bug.
