You can hide behind the "oh it's a genjutsu so it wasn't real, that makes it okay" when it doesn't. Plus it doesn't matter for multiple reasons, one is that you don't find out it's fake until the deed is done. Two, the trauma still remains, which is sounds like a cool song.
