if nobody else can say that word because it's racist, then why is it okay for a black person to say it? the word is a derogatory term that means dirt. i understand where some people come from when they say "we're claiming the word and using it to throw it in racist people's faces," but that word still means dirt. i'm white, so i don't have the same experience as a black person, but that word still makes me uncomfortable. if you can successfully defend the use of that word in another way, then i'll humbly step away. if not, that's fine. you are your own person and you make your own choices.
