No voice or life was breathing there.
Homes lay hollow, towns undone,

The earth itself began to fray,
As memories turned dust to gray.
In quiet tombs of vanished names,
The shadows cast familiar frames,
Where echoes fade, and light withdraws,
And sorrow shuns the touch of laws.
Yet knowing this must one day cease,
I close my eyes, my mind at peace.
