What’s the lore?
I need to know the juicy lore
that woman, Elizabeth, has the power to open portals to alternate dimensions and her powers are sought over across the multiverse. Her original dimension is just normal early 1900 USA but she was kidnapped as a baby by her father from the future alternate dimension. She was then kept locked up for 18 years in a different dimension where they live in a floating religious US city called Columbia, run by her father who is worshipped as a prophet. She was then saved by her father from the past original dimension but doesnt remember losing his daughter. But to prevent the events of Columbia, she kills her past father, which causes a time paradox that kills all multiverse versions of herself and her father except one. The surviving version of Elizabeth and her father live in an underwater anarcho-capitalist dystopia called Rapture, shown here. While in Rapture, she kills her father again when he regains his memories and then tries to rescue an orphan from a mafia boss tryng to take over the city. She then gets a vision of the future (the events of the first game) and gives the mafia boss what he wants so that he would spare the orphan, knowing that the boss will eventually be killed by someone else.
those twins are not actually twins, they are the same multiverse scientist but from different dimensions. they met each other in an attempt to travel dimensions and now they work together. Elizabeth has now been revived from the last game and reawoken in Rapture.
