Damn good comic. Marshall’s just being taken advantage of every time because he can’t set boundaries or say no. It’s sad but realistic. I do enjoy that most of the characters feel pretty flushed out. I feel like setting this in a game kind of ruins it though because the story feels smaller than it could be. Overall 9/10 stopped jacking off then put on the glasses
I find it interesting that even though marshal had bad experiences with women and it left him pretty much in the state of a baby lamb. He can still put that aside and cheer for some, stay friends, and try to move past his traumas. While Olivia probably won’t be forgiven, I do think sometime in the future if she succeeds, marshal could still in some part of him root for her, from a distance of course.
Each character has their own unique twist and so felt pretty fun seeing them appear.
each girl he met are different types of people you may genuinely meet, and each of them may not be suited for you. they aren’t not completely compatible with you but there’s always something that drew you in enough to care. While sometimes it can hurt you, other times even as just a friend you can still feel it.
Olivia had the most depth besides petri to me. And genuinely makes me feel bad for her, although she can’t be forgiven for some parts. You can clearly see she never meant to hurt him.
She was in the place of her idol loving fashion when she remembers what that idol said, she determined to prove her wrong in her own store. Tried some sexy and do a fling. Trying to scratch marshal in a sexy way and be fun. But she didn’t hold back, she didn’t know how to love. She knew sex but not tender love. Always more forceful even at the detriment of her partner.
but by the end she’s given something her idol didn’t bother to give, actual criticism. Like something you can act on, holy shit it’s insane how many people tell you something life altering. And never bother to explain what they mean by, “wow you just suck and everything you’ve ever done is terrible” and then say why.
I do hope in the future the artist makes a few in the future moments, some characters I do wish to see being much happier.
also the mayor being a deadbeat who caused a lot of the issues cuz of her making fan fiction about people around her is really telling what kind of community the animal crossing community is. I can’t even deny it, the whole game forcing perfection according to your beliefs tends to do that. Limited space, limited villagers, and limited ways to really interact with the characters. Makes you resent “ugly villagers”, micro manage every weed, and live through fan headcanon of how the character acts.
The original animal crossing game I think is still the master class of animal crossing writing because it had something 14,000 unique dialogue. Meaning each character had an actual personality, and sometimes were literally a dick to you for no reason. Until you befriended them. The new game tho made them real shallow., which sucks.
my point is tho, actually peak writing. I was enthralled. It just felt like something I needed to read at least once.
and damn good for marshal, got the weird girl who’s sweet. Sometimes that’s just who you needed, and you never knew.
As somebody who's been through an like oddly similar string of relationships this shit is so peak. Genuinely can't even try to get hard to this it's pure amazing writing

THIS is peak adult comics. Adult comedy showing penises and sex because ha ha nudity always makes me roll my eyes because many well written and deeply insightful stories of complex topics are afraid of including nudity or sex. These are just aspects of adult life, very important aspects too.
If every comic were written as thoughtfully as this one, adult media would be a better place.
Also seeing this come out of one of my favorite artists I've discovered this year is quite the treat, dragon weirdo never fails to impress.
the way we can understand what each and every characters perspective and reason for doing what they did was superb, especially the art where we can just SEE how terrified Marshal is, really sells how he just can’t bring himself to say no and the consequences that comes from it. The finale where he finally stood up for himself was so peak too! Petri best girl and may Ankha and Marshal have their happily ever after for as long as the author allows it.
why did the Mayor get the failing sexual relationships note✌️ I love how the explanation isn't that he has a horrible problem with saying no and asking for more time which leads to relationships where he's being used, its a death note rip off and they started writing fanfic
Yk I'm the kind of person who says "I ain't reading allat" the moment I see more than 50 panels but something about this made me want to read it instead of jerking off, the art is good, the story is good keep going man, I love ts
Spent a while reading it, I enjoyed it tho. Big fan of stories that include sex on the website and not just straight porn. This is definitely up there on the list of good reads.
Half an hour of reading later, I finished this splendid read. Honestly nice that things nicely, (especially for Marshall & Ankha taking things slow in the end).
