To bad that prince didn't know the lv 3 spell remove curse, though seriously there were several ways he could have won against the succubus. Like using Protection from Evil and Good this would stop the succubus using Sleep on him, or just use the many smites he has (assuming he is at least a lv 5 Paladin) to destroy the succubus.
I am not one to feel bad for lower lifeforms, but in the case of being a slave to a demon, that is the worst. My time in hell showed me just how disgusting demons are. Truly the most vile creatures known to man.
