Erm actually if you think about it in a post apocalyptic setting especially one dominated by powerful capitalists prostitution would likely be a much more common source of income, as the more patriarchal society has less women to fufill the sexual needs of those in power, creating an intresting dynamic of the female being both ostrasized and valued. True insight into gender roles in even our modern society, where similar phenomina happen in countries with low birth rates, like japan and korea, but we can agree that the effect is mostly detrimental in said examples. And it shows you, in a very intresting way, how too much of somthing can eventually invert, creating an effect oppisite from what was intuitive, much like steroids or consuming healthy foods, as society is, in its own way, an organism.
