If i remember the show correctly, her parents are extreme wealthy and it seemed, that they only care for their reputation. And they raised Trixie to do the same, although we saw in some episodes, that Trixie liked comics and wrestling too. She only went out with a disguise, so no one would know, who she is. Later that storyline was sorted out by Nick because the company only wanted the comedy thing and not some deeper storylines.
