I'm really annoyed with the concept that symbiotes take over the host. I won't say it doesn't happen, I'll reference Venom the Meatgardener just in case, and there was a time when Venom modified Eddie Brock's memory (made him forget part of his painful past), but symbiotes are "symbiotic" and they work with their host, not control them
It actually varies with different symbiotes and their partners. Reading the Venom comics, you see a lot of different types. Not all males are bug and buff, but the females tend to be slim and sexy (example: Black Widow recently). Maybe it's a mental or bodily traits thing; have yet to see a buff, back-breaker kind of girl get a symbiote but I know a handful of people would love to run with that
yeah thats kind the whole reason it hated peter for so long right up until it eventually died but was later brought back becuase no one dies in comics not even goo monsters.
It hates being separated from its hosts and clings on to them unless they are near death or no longer can supply it with energy.
being with Venom pretty much is a Hyper obsesive and abusive relationship like when Venom gave eddie brock fake cancer becuase he wanted eddie to be afraid to never want to seperate from venom
only for eddie to end up getting real cancer and then venom ran away.
It's understandable, one of the universes I went to when I still worked for the I.O was being run by 7 leaders. 6 of the leaders were the letters of Google and the supreme leader was the CEO of Google. They had pretty good burgers though.
