I think Trim01 (Make an account already btw you fuck) had a decent idea that registered accounts could vote for a comic to be highlighted as a popular one, bypassing the user tagging system and giving the title more weight. Obviously this could be prone to alt-accounting, but in that case it could be that there could be a "weight" requirement for a comic to be considered the best and accounts that are newer/haven't talked much could hold less voting power compared to accounts that are older and are relatively more active.
And if you wanted to add some unnecessary drama for the sake of it, you could have the people who vote for it be public and watch the dominoes fall from there.

That is good to know regarding the latter. I've been a lurker here for years 😉 it's quite amusing to be incognito, although I might have made an account a couple years ago, I forget.... and I cannot access my email rightnow so I'll have to suffer for the time being
The forum is barley used now, the private messaging feature is only used by a select few (as far as I'm aware but I could be wrong) and I don't think anybody actually uses the friend feature.
