Russia announced that they are demanding/requesting Ukraine agree to a ceasefire for May 9th so that Russia may hold their Victory Day parade (parade for when WW2 ended). Ukrainian intel found that Russia will not have their usual military convoy in the parade, most likely because of lack of available vehicles. And also that Russia has moved most of their anti-air defense to Moscow. A few years ago, a drone struck the Kremlin, meaning that it was possible to breach Russian airspace even at their strongest.

Russia has broken a previous ceasefire deal with Ukraine before, so it would not be unjustified for Ukraine to break a ceasefire deal they never agreed to. Russians currently think they are winning the war to improv morale and to get more people to join the war effort. Since the parade is shown live across Russia, a single drone striking the capital would immediately prove otherwise and could not be covered up. All of Russia will realize the government lied to them about the state of the war and the strength of their nation. This could easily cause civil unrest and/or give motivation to Putin's political enemies within the communist party to take over. HOWEVER, there is a likelihood that Putin expected Ukraine to break the ceasefire like he did, and he could possibly frame any attack on Moscow as a tragedy and to rally Russians to fight Ukraine even harder simply as an act of self-defense.

Nick Shirley, a youtuber and independent journalist, is currently trapped in Cuba as far as we know. Shirley is most famous for uncovering a massive network of healthcare fraud among illegal immigrants which lead to the arrest of a US governor who initially ran for vice president. He went on to uncover more fraud across California but then went out to Cuba to cover the state of the country while it suffers daily blackouts. Upon landing in Cuba, he and his bodyguard were immediately arrested and had all his equipment seized except for his iphone and a tiny microphone that they failed to notice. He was not allowed to walk around without a government officer, nor is how allowed to leave the country. He managed to release a video announcing his plan to escape Cuba in the middle of a festival. We still do not know his status whether he escaped, captured, or killed.
Idk what in his right mind made him think thats okay. its a communist country. The last group of twitch streamers that went to Cuba were able to get the royal treatment because all of those streamers were vocally pro-communists. Shirley is known for uncovering the truth so of course he was arrested, communists only care about optics.

isn't he the guy from the somali daycare event that actually were proved to be mostly running normally, and only resulted in high harrassment of the klds, staff and buildings (with one break-in too)? also, as far as I'm aware, he also doesn't even have a diploma on journalism, not that it's a requirement, but it puts in perspective how most of his accusations end up being kinda shallow and fake
Somalians have been facing a horrible persecution, specially in Minnesota, which just rose with his videos, I can hardly call what he does journalism, I don't think he even uncovers the truth, when he mainly just spits on the floor and calls it a lake

you dont need a degree to be a journalist, you just need a camera and to ask questions.
i looked into the results of the fraud and i did not find anything pertaining to what you said. The Quality "Learing" Center (the daycare shown here) was shut down earlier this year and all the members of that dayrcare were arrested and currently under investigation. When it was still functioning, it had multiple licensing and safety violations. Another fraud found was the Feeding Our Future foundation, which had lead to roughly 80 arrests and over 50 of them pleading guilty.

my comment was moderated, oh well, I basically said that yeah, one daycare was wrong, and I did mention *most* weren't, I also did mention how a degree isn't needed as well, and I didn't touch the subject of feeding our future, I can't see how that was brought up here in this topic
I don't think you are in the wrong by being against fraud, but there is a right and wrong way of going around this stuff, Nick Shirley does it the wrong way, that's all

didn't say you needed one, matter of fact, I mentioned it isn't needed, just that it is part of why his research and videos are lackluster, I also did say most were running normally, because there is that one instance of a wrong one, which I'm in favor of being shut down since it was just a front for money washing
I don't recall mentioning the feeding our future fraud tho, but yeah, that's also something that is being looked on, and rightfully so
I don't think you are disagreeing with me here, but I also don't think you got my message across

I hadn't heard about this guy's current situation, but his exposes in the US were nonsense and his accusations are unsubstantiated. I'd be more worried if child-care centers let a stranger with a camera inside them.

ive seen his videos in California and Texas. Its common practice that when someone asks about your business you provide them information like contact info or a pamphlet so that potential customers know who to call. All of this somali business were extremely hostile as the site of him. it is very obviously fraud.

Nick Shirley has to be bankrolled by some entity for sure, especially after his Channel 5 interview, the dude is such a perfect idiot to rattle of some incendiary propaganda to rile people up.
Another thing to add, the man has always come off as strange to me, and only recently I figured out why, he's a Mormon. You should never trust a Mormon, those bastards have a weird relation with intelligence agencies and Israeli interests, and they are really uncomfortable to encounter irl
