Mafia Consigliere 'Power' has now been consolidated to the Multporn 1%

Given the recent changes in how upvoting/downvoting work, all it takes is 2 high-ranking accounts to boost whichever comments they want (10 pts), and roughly 3 to tank a comment to the shadow realm (~23 pts), effectively granting the top 14 or so an 'electoral college' towards literally any discussions.

Or more likely, a chance to troll by coordinating a downvote on a particular bloke and then gaslighting them into thinking whatever they're saying is unpopular. The biggest upside of this is that if the bird who shall not be named returns, we have something to neuter him with collectively, like a third party doomed to never be elected.

i usually just go with the popular opinion when i see comments. i don’t often up or downvote comments that are not already voted. so you don’t really have to worry about me, im just tryna diff fiyo. but i see where this is coming from

using the power I have accumulated from just being here so long and having my alts be older than most of the active userbase, I was already able to change the featured comment

this is because I agree with Warden, alts are so easy to make nowadays that it just takes a single person with enough email adresses to manipulate everything to their hearts desire

It's worth noting that Alex and co. are the 'true puppetmasters' in the sense that all these changes are ultimately done to keep stuff like the slapfighting and other petty drama going to keep both anons and accounts entertained and coming back to the site.
