Fuck Subaru. Fuck that. Never in a million fucking years. Not that I even like Mitsubishi, but fuck Subaru. The simplest fucking jobs turn into 4–6 hour nightmares if the shit isn’t accessible.
Me and my bud Tore tore apart his mom’s 2014 Subaru Forester once. Never again. Fucking spark plug tube seals—I’m not even explaining it, but if you have any sense of competency, you can look it up. And that wasn’t even the only thing we had to do.
On literally anything other than a fucking Subaru, it probably would’ve taken an hour tops. It took us like eight fucking hours Screwing with it and then eventually ended up working pretty much the whole weekend because we had to take the whole fucking engine out. And then, while we had the engine out, we figured fuck it, might as well TLC some of the other shit that needed replacing while we were already in there.
I’m not even going to explain everything we did because I hardly remember. Honestly, the only things I remember are pulling that bitch out, putting it back in, and fixing her car up. That shit turned into an entire fucking weekend project. Between all the labor and bullshit and trips to the scrapyard for parts. And the local auto store shit was a nightmare that’s why I like my Fords and my Chevy’s they may break a little easy or often depending on the model you get and year but they’re so fucking easy to fix even a 12-year-old could do it if instructed correctly

All I gotta say is, please, for the love of God, people, spend your money on a good car, not a fucking Subaru. I don’t even understand how they classify those things as automobiles. With how much work they sometimes need, they’re basically just a constant fucking project car because it takes forever to fix them.
Get something good, like a Chevy Impala or a Toyota Corolla. Those things are fucking indestructible. My buddy has had a Corolla since his junior year of high school, and it was already a used car when he bought it. He’s had it for almost 8 years now and hasn’t had anything major go wrong with it just remember to maintain your vehicles people properly fuel oil and clean them unless it’s a shit box that that’s not worth fixing Then just beat the hell out of it lmao

True but unless you’re willing to sync a shit load of time and money in to it I mean, if it’s the right vehicle. It’s worth it but if it an old fucking beater with a heater pick up that’s when you’re gonna have some fun I
should know my first truck that I bought off some dude for like two grand in 10th grade worked on that for a few months and by the time I went and got my permit already had a working vehicle it was a beater and after I got enough money to get another one. Me and a few of my friends took it mudding a few times before we eventually drove off of a I’m not gonna say hill but it was kinda like a natural ramp in the quarry. We went to and it was a big enough drop to where it snapped The frame in half I mean the frame is already kind of going on it. I had to weld it on a few spots and then, after that we took her to the scrapyard and got turned into a truck cube and got like $300 dollars for it wasn’t even worth parting out to be fair though that truck lasted me all through high school and for a few years after definitely miss that thing.

I can feel the hatred from this, and its completely valid. A buddy of mine used to have a 2012 Impreza Hatch, The transmission used to give out yearly and we'd be at it for nearly a week every time. Every second month it leaked a different fluid and was a genuine hellhole to work on

Id say its a good 2nd place, VERY close to the 350, but im biased cause ive owned a 350. The new Z arent so bad either, its just the UNHOLY price tag along it, they should also make a targa.

I think one thing that draws me to the 300 so much is the length (pause). It’s got elegance to it. The 350, 370, 400, all just look too stubby to me.

always was interested in knowing more about cars, its just that i dont really know where to start when finding more info about cars in general
i've been using a used mitsubishi mirage since 2024 and i can do basic repairs and maintenance and stuff, cleaning it... but whenever something inside fucks up i've gotta go to a mechanic

Dont take it as studying but something you enjoy as a hobby
Or buy a project car for 500$ you'll have hundreds of hours of experience

I think I fat fingered the dislike button lol my bad. For cars I do have a little side hobby of fixing some old ones back to new. It’s really fun if you know what you’re doing.
