God Himself. The Gustaaf Method (And its Counter)

Using this little known fact that you can view image properties on windows, people have doxed other people. I am here to teach you all how to avoid it.

Step 1: Import your image that you want to post into Windows.

Step 2: Right Click and Hit "Properties"

Step 3: Under the Details Tab, Hit the "Remove Properties and Personal Information" as seen below

Screenshot 2026-04-04 172944.png

Step 4: Save the generated image as a copy and POST THE COPY, NOT THE ORIGINAL IMAGE.

This will save you from possibly getting your location ripped off images as, especially on mobile devices, they will link your location to an image taken with the camera unless the setting is turned off. The only reason i am making this post is i've seen it happen many times not just here, but on other sites as well. If you think any of your images might have your location linked to them, DM admin to delete them.

if you are unable to do this on the computer (such as you too pictures on your phone). go into your privacy setting. look for location, deselect the camera option. now any future photos will not have your gps coordinates. however your previous photos still do. if you want to remove the gps data from those photos, select said photo, click the Info Icon, and remove location

And the situation is worse than you think; apparently, even my street is known.

I would've been happier had it been something positive though 😓

By the way, there are sites where you can upload a file and they’ll modify its metadata.
