That's true, California squirrels are eating rats and are coming to be seen as omnivores. There is indirect human interference in this case.

Despite living in what you would call a mountainside village, the grass here can't be trusted. Stepping outside from your home to the front lawn is like suddenly going from England to Australia, safe and comfy inside, cloudy with a high chance of snakes biting your ankles outside.
