Me and some other Brazilians on the site (including those who didn't mention it) could at any moment be deprived of any media that isn't freely available to all audiences.
Even if we are over 18, we shouldn't participate in anything online without at least exposing our private information. And if the platform doesn't support that, we'll simply be private.
This happened because of a new law that in effect. We could disappear at any moment. So I'm already saying goodbye if that happens.

I should add that most likely a VPN would work, but also, government issued restrictions like this being bypassed comes with a hefty charge, which I, and most likely the others here, don't have the money, or the intention to pay

But here is the thing, the people here sucks, atleast a majority part of them, and by what i understand, mostly of them or are afraid of doing it, doesn't give a fuck about it or are unable to do such thing.
And by my knowledge, there is a fucking law here that makes protests in such scale harder to do, and by what i know, there is happening one rn, but is more because of a ex-president than these laws.

to be fair, the law is janky, it just asks for sites with adult content to be stricter regarding entry, with something other than an "yeah I'm 18 or over", but the thing is, requiring selfies or id is hard, needs a whole separate temporary server, and also costs quite a bit of money. Smaller sites like this one will be affect greatly because they probably can't pay for it, so it's easier to block it in that country, than adhering to the law. It's a good law in theory, but since the confirmation is server sided and payed by the owner, it's simply easier to stop cathering to Brazil
I can understand the idea behind it, I work in a school, so I see how hooked up they can get on gambling and stuff (which was the main idea behind the law), but it's done in a very easy "just blame the company" instead of the parents who allow their offspring to consume it daily without limitation. Overall, it's the old geese's idea of a solution, which is common regarding laws and bills
This isn't the first time they've censored social media; you should know that adultification is just the best excuse they could come up with. They are literally legalizing casinos while we're talking.
